Terms and Conditions

Definitions:

The term ‘Paw Pat Roll’ refers to and means Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services

The term ‘Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services’ refers to any employee or volunteer working on behalf of Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services.

The term ‘We or Our Family’ refers to any employee or volunteer working on behalf of Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services.

The term 'You' or ‘Owner’ refers to the person of whom the pet belongs to.

Your Home:

The owner allows and understands that Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services will need access to your home, the method that we do this is totally up to you (a key, key lock box, locked gates)

The owner will need to allow Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services access to sinks, pet food storage areas and toilets so we can care for your pets and ourselves.

We will always leave your home as it was found (pets can sometimes make a mess but we will clean this up for you upon arrival and before we leave).  Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services shall not be liable for any damage caused by your pet(s).

Health and Safety:

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that your pet(s) are up to date with their vaccinations this includes Kennel Cough, you will ensure that all pets are clean and free of fleas, worms, ticks or any form of contagious illnesses.

If fleas, worms, ticks or any form of contagious illness is found on your pet(s) you will be informed immediately and you will be advised to seek veterinary treatment.  A cleaning fee of £60 will be applied to your invoice if fleas are found on pets that have been transported in one of our vehicles, these charges will be automatically applied to your invoice, they are non-negotiable and must be paid within 7 days of invoice date.

All dogs must have a secure collar with ID tag (1992 Legislation), harnesses and head collars can also be used.

All dogs must be microchipped, in accordance with the 2016 Legislation.

The owner agrees that if necessary, we can use our own equipment whilst walking you dog(s) e.g. harnesses, collars, coats, leads and drying towels.

Injury, Risk and Liability:

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services will make every effort to contact the owner, or designated third party emergency contact, in the event of an emergency. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your pet’s health, provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the pet and on the advice of a vet.

In the event of a pet requiring veterinary treatment while with Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services, the owner will pay all resulting fees including expenses incurred for each veterinary visit.

You the Owner understand that West Lakeland Veterinary Group (Whitehaven) is the Vet that we use.  If we need to take your dog(s) to a vet during emergency hours, this will be added to your invoice.

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services shall not be liable for any damage caused should your pet instigate fights with other animals, or should your pet be injured by another animal while in Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services care; this includes vet fees and third-party claims.

You the Owner accept full responsibility for any loss or damage caused by your pet whilst in Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services care.

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services is not held accountable for vet fees or third-party claims whilst your pet is in our care.

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services will follow instructions to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.

The owner must inform us of an in-season bitch or a bitch due to be in season or if the bitch is with pup.

Dog Walks:

You the owner understand that your dog(s) might be walked with other dogs, from different households, unless otherwise stated / agreed that your dog(s) are not ‘other dog friendly’.

Dogs where safe will be allowed off their lead, unless you state otherwise, this will be discussed at your initial consultation.

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services will only let your dog(s) off the lead if we feel they have good recall.  You acknowledge that even well-trained dogs are instinctive and not always fully controllable by the Dog Buddy even when the highest level of care is provided.

Paw Pat Roll Dog Walking and Pet Companion Services are not liable should your dog run away and/or injure themselves or cause any damage or injure a third party.

Bookings & Charges:

Bookings must be made and confirmed verbally by phone.  We will meet you face to face to get you booked in.

If your desired slot is not available, we will get as close as we can to your desired slot.

If we need to change your slot for any reason, we will confirm this with you verbally and arrange for a convenient slot or alternative dog Buddy.

Bank Holidays & Weekends incur no additional charges, these are just a normal day for us.

If you are uncertain of any Prices/Charges, please visit the Website (Services & Prices section) where an up-to-date Price/Charge list can be found.

Once you receive your invoice, you have 7 days from the date on the invoice to pay this.  A charge of 5% per day will be added to overdue invoices until paid.

The owner is responsible for all veterinary costs; Paw Pat Roll should not be required to incur these costs on your behalf.

​In the event of cancellation by the owner a cancellation fee will be applied.

Weather Conditions/Days/Times:

The owner understands that in severe weather conditions, we are always open but there might be the chance of us being delayed.

If your Dog(s) will happily go out in the rain/snow so will we.

In extreme weather conditions such as really heavy snow, icy roads, icy pavements, thunder & lightning, etc we might need to cut walks short for the safety of both your dog(s) or your Pet Buddy.

The owner understands that their booked time slot is an estimation, we will make every effort to ensure we arrive at the time agreed but unfortunately unforeseen circumstances and road conditions might delay us, we will inform you as best we can if we will be late.

If Paw Pat Roll are unable to attend on the day(s) agreed, we will contact you with as much notice as possible and try to arrange alternative Pet Buddies for you and your Pet(s) or rearrange the slot you have booked with us.
